Girls 5th to 8th Grade

 

Fall

 

The Mad Dog Girls fall lacrosse team is includes 6/7/8th grade players. The team practices two days a week at the Shenendehowa practice fields and participates in 3 travel tournaments. The program runs from mid-September to mid-November. There is no fall program for 5th graders at this time.

 

Winter

 

The Mad Winter skill & drills program for 5/6/7/8th graders is held at the Sportsplex of Half-moon on Tuesday nights from mid-November to mid-March. Each one hour session includes drills that teach and reinforce the fundamentals of lacrosse. The program is designed to help players improve their stick skills while learning lacrosse stages.

 

Summer

 

Mad Dog has a summer travel team for 5/6th grade players. Two practices a week at Shenendehowa practice fields and 3 travel tournaments are included. The summer travel season begins in late June and ends mid-July.

 

Mad Dog enters a 5/6 grade team in the Golden Goal Summer Classic at Golden Goal Tournament Park, Fort Ann, New York. This is a three day/two night tournament/camp which is held in late July. Players compete with and get to know other players from across the country. Players/coaches stay in the Golden Goal. Athletes Village which is located in the tournament park.
